What is a Cold Tire?

When most people hear the term ‘cold’ tire, they think that it has to do with the weather. Actually, it is not in reference to the weather. It is in reference to how long ago you have driven on your tires. A cold tire is one that has not been ridden on in a least 3 hours. This is usually the best time to check the pressure, because your reading will be more accurate. Just drove to the corner store an hour ago? Sorry, your tires are no longer considered cold.
